A couple of weeks ago my friend (well at least she was then) commented on the high waist of my pants. You see, often I am covering multiple areas of the hospital which requires me to wear multiple pagers (I am pretty important...haha). Consequently I am left with two options: tie my pager weighted pants snuggly around, wait, above my hips and/or flash all parents, co-workers and patients I come in contact with (tough choice). I am not sure the high waisted, Steve Urkelesque, above the hip, draw string bra is the problem. In fact, I am certain that the draw string bra and flood length pant combo is what my co-workers, husband and dog find so offensive.
So I get the hint, I will buy new scrubs so I can ditch the Steve Urkel look. To keep my one reader interested (I think the one reader is me), I am going to buy new scrubs and then post before and after pictures so everyone can capture my transformation. The moral of this post is if you see a friend wearing bad pants, immediatley rip them off of them and find them something to wear for the time being (branch, toilet paper, swatch of fabric, animal skin, blades of grass, feathers, ice sculpture, etc). In my experience it is more likely that the clothing underneath is better than what the eye can see. To be continued...
